I was startled a bit when I heard a tapping on the window. I looked up and it was him. I smiled a little. I went to the door and unlocked it. I opened it a little.

"Can I help you?" I ask.

"I was curious if we could just chat? I knew you'd be closing by now but I don't exactly know how to get to you anyway else. Or we could go get those drinks if you wanted," I said.

"Um...Sure. Just let me finish closing up. Go upstairs to my apartment. The door is unlocked." I said. "So you'll be able to get in."

When my routine for closing up was done I smiled. Another day completed. I went upstairs to my home. I wondered how my cat reacted to him.

I sat on the couch with her cat next to me, playing with my hand. I smiled at her as she walked in, "hey, you've got a nice cat."

"Thanks. I've had her since she was a kitten." I said.

"I can tell, she's really sweet," I smiled as she curled up in my lap.

"Well she likes it when people give her what she wants." I said. "Being pet and getting loved."

"Which is something I wish I could get," I thought to myself.

"Well, I didn't come to talk about this cutie. I actually came to talk about something else. Remember that girl I told you about? The one you said I should break up with? Well I did and thought I'd ask you if you were free anytime soon," I said.

Brakes slammed in my head. He wanted to hangout with me? He listened to my advice? No ever listened to me. Or wanted me in my free time.

"Ummm...Sure...I'm always free after 5. But free all day on Sunday's. Its the one day a week I keep for myself."

"Right, I remember trying to come here and see you. No, I was just thinking you would like to have fun together, and if you wanted to go tonight then I'd let you choose," I replied.
