*15 years later*

Emily: I sighed as I got out of bed and got dressed. I put on a tank top that showed an appropriate amount of cleavage with my dark skinny jeans. So I didn't turn out to be that high energy and bubbly girl my parents were expecting, but I was still happy. Except for when I worked, mom trained me as an assassin and dad won't even give me work. He sticks me at the guard towers and in the hospital. I sighed as I put on my beanie and looked in the mirror. I kept my hair long, but instead of blonde I died it a deep purple.

I sighed as i was walking already badly hurt and hoping to reach civilization soon and eventually collapse at the edge of the border on the camp where they lived

I went to my post at the tower and sat quietly. About an hour later I see someone stumbling and finally fall at the gate so I hurry down to help. I yelled for my partner to let him know I was going to the hospital with him, and everyone knew I wouldn't come back until I knew he was fine so he called for another watch. I threw one of his arms over my shoulders and did my best to get him to the doctor as quickly as possible. Once I got there he was taken back for examination and someone alerted my father that I brought a stranger into the camp, but I didn't care, he needed help.

When they finally fixed him up I waited in his room for him to wake, and for my father. I knew he'd want to speak to him and to me, so having us both in one place would be easy.

"I haven't been able to speak with him yet. All I know is that he was stumbling towards the gate and collapsed. I am waiting for him to wake up so I can ask him a few questions as well," I replied as I looked at my dad then at the stranger.

"The doctor said now he is just resting. He should be awake by this afternoon when all the anesthesia wears off," I said. I looked at my dad and smiled, "I had someone take my post so I could be here, so if you want I can ask him questions."

I smiled softly, "I will dad." When he was gone I turned my attention to the man in the bed as he starts groaning. I go over to the bed to make sure everything was OK with the machines.

My heart rate was up alittle but that was bc the meds were slowly wearing off and eventually i do start to wake
