A Vampire Tale *1x1 open*

"Yes sir il protect her with my life old friend." i said seriously

"Thank you," he smiles then watches us leave. I looked at him and he had an odd expression. I decided not to say anything but I looked at Charles. "I have to ask, did you ever meet my mother?" I said as we were inside the carriage.

Only once when i first met your father after that he kept me away from her she was still human at the time i dont know exactly what happened to her after though very nice and beautiful woman

"That was before I was born. My mother somehow managed to maintain the ability to reproduce after being turned. My mother had been a vampire for 30 years and had already given up on having a child because its possible but too dangerous on a human to have such a child," I said, then went quiet for a moment. "My mother died when I was 5, I don't remember her well but I remember that day."

I nodded and sighed. "Im sorry"

"It's alright, it was a very long time ago," I replied. "but i assume that was possibly a few years before i was born. Once they found out my father kept her away from everyone until i was born. Then i was sheltered, but only because the coven tends to kill the younger ones like myself."

(Don't forget her mother was his supposedly dead wife.)

I nodded. "Its because they are afraid that the younglings will overthrow the council and be more powerful than they when they are born

"I believe that is also why my father wants me to take over his business, so I put my energy somewhere else," I said.

I sbook my head. "The biggest problem with the council is they are afraid of losing their power even though they are the strongest of our kind and oldest. There are none that even come close to their strength yet they fear everyone even a mouse." i said laughing. "But anyone that gets too close to them that isnt a trusted creature dies on the spot bc of their fear. They let it control them and so when the time does come they wont be ready. But it will be from a vamp that is equally as strong if not more so than they." i saod looking at u

I looked at him, "my father turned down the opportunity to become a member. He refuses to be like them, afraid of their shadow. He says if given the chance I might be able to take the seat as head of the coven, which is only given to the strongest."

i nodded "a very rare and opportunistic place to be in the men and women alike tend to throw themselves at thr head just for the power of been in control. It takes alot of self control and strength of body will and patience to be the head of any coven. You will have many challenges for that position and most challenges end in death of one if not both of bc poison lr other sleight of hand. But you get to do what u want and not have to fear for other peoples judgement or punishments. Even your fathers. If anyone touches u in the wrong way or even looks at u you would have the power to do anything to them even have them killed if u so bade it

"I'm not saying I'd take it, but I've considered it. Though like he said, I'm too young to take that. I have only so many years as a vampire, I need more to be socially acceptable as the head, at my age now they'd challenge me left and right. Though if I wait they will only challenge me as averagely as they do now. Unless I pull off an amazing show in my challenge," I said. I had no idea what I could do, I'd never been curious enough to try, and I prefer diplomatic solutions so I've never been the kind to fight. Not that I didn't know how.

I nodded and smiled. "Most want it for power but those few like ur father want it for security and to show strength so that noone would bother to try challenging him so that him and his family stay safe

"Yeah, well he found security of his own," I replied before we arrived at the party and I smiled.

I laughed "yea i noticed the body gaurds all over the place." i said smiling. "As well as some human thralls

"That's just to scare people away from me. He wouldn't have them otherwise. I mean, I'm 56 and forever 16, I'm of age for anyone by now," I said before the carriage stops.

I nodded and stepped out offering my hand to help her get out

I take his hand and held my skirt up a bit as I got out. Once I was out I let go of his hand and my dress and adjusted the skirt. I smiled at Charles, "thank you very much sir."

"Your welcome madame" i saod smiling and offered my arm as se start to walk inside

I take his arm as we walk inside. This party was mostly younger vampires, but it was for the Lord's own children who were of age as well. If they took any interest in someone here, well that person either agrees with it or just goes with it until they're tossed aside. I knew if I was chosen tonight my free will and all around freedom will be gone completely. My father cannot deny me coming, nor could I have done so without evidence of being ineligible for this. I smiled anyway because regardless of its purpose, it is a party.

I sighed softly as we walked in and let u choose a seat

I find a place quietly as they begin the party. Some people were dancing with their family, a friend, or the escort they brought them. I decided after a few minutes to not sit here waiting for someone and took Charles by the hand knowing since he was my tutor this was OK. "Come on let's dance," I said and didn't give him time to say no.

I smiled and danced with u.

I smiled softly as I looked at him and we danced in time with the song. It was probably the most fun I'd had dancing with someone in my life.

I smiled and kept dancing right into the next song
